Card For Mom, Little Elf Finn, Kit, and Mim from Mo Manning

The card I have to share with you today is this years Christmas card I made for my folks.  My mom is a crafty lady so I try to do something that would impress even her.  She introduced me to crafting and showed me my first alcohol markers too.  I am blessed with the wisest, most loving, and generous parents a girl could wish for!

The Colouring Crazy Challenge theme for Graph'it this time is Festive Wishes and I thought this card is perfectly festive.  Come over and join our challenge HERE, you could win some of these fabulous markers to play with!!

These are three different stamps from Mo's Digital Pencil, Little Elf Finn, Little Elf Kit, and Little Elf Mim.  You can find them HERE.

I printed these in the order I wanted them and then printed each one again so I could paper piece them to hang off the edges of the background.  I used a masking liquid before coloring them with my Graph'it markers. I embossed the snowflakes onto the background first and then sponge inked in grey and used some Tattered Angels shimmer sprays, Boardwalk and Snow Queen.

For the star and ornaments, I shaded them first with my markers and then gave them a coat of Stickles and two coats of Glossy Accents.  The pic really doesn't do them justice.  Here is a pic of the inside just for fun...

These papers are some my mom got me last year, they are Recollections.  I know she loves them because she bought herself the same stack so I thought they would be great for her card.

Here is a list of the Graph'it Color Combos used:
skin: 4125, 4115, 4170, 3120/ 4145, 4135

Mischievous Polly the Christmas Elf, Cheryl Alger

When I saw the contest to win a spot as a guest designer for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on Facebook I was so excited and knew I had to find the time to whip something up.  So here I am nearly at the last minute to share my card with you.
This stamp is not a Kraftin Kimmie stamp but it is by a KKS aritst, called Mischievous Polly the Christmas Elf by Cheryl Grant Alger.  I have had it for a very long time, it was one of my very first digi stamps I purchased when I started getting into alcohol markers.  I didn't think you would still be able to purchase it but I went looking and found it for you all.  I wanted to be able to post a link for you.  I got it from Squigglefly and you can find it HERE.

Mischievous Polly the Christmas Elf by Cheryl Alger

I have used a lot of things from my massive christmas stash but there are a couple of new things I will link for you.  The winter hats is a die that was a new release at Whimsy Stamps this month, Winter Hat Border Die, you can find it HERE.  The little stocking charm on the top left is also from Whimsy, found HERE.  The wooden snowflakes I picked up at Michaels.  The large stocking was on a store-bought card I received from someone a few years ago.  I took it off and saved it, I knew it would be cute on something sometime.  My papers are from the Winter Wonderland collection from MME and a few from Whimsy too but they aren't available anymore.

I paper pieced the little winter hats and embossed the ends in gold and then also used Glossy Accents to make them look like bells.  The silver snowflakes are Jolee's from Michaels. Here is the inside of the card..

This little stocking here is from my stash and I can't remember where it came from.  The large snowflake is a punch and the sentiment was a free gift from Whimsy Stamps.  Here is a closer look at the stamp..

I colored her with my Graph'it markers.  I added some Glossy Accents to the bell on her hat.
Color Combos used:
skin: 4125. 4115, 4170, 3120/ 4145, 4135
hair: 8240, 8260, 8270
red: 5210, 5240, 5270
blue: 7101, 7220, 7240
stippling: 9500, 7220, 9502

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you enjoyed my fun christmas card.  Have a Krafty day!!
I would like to also enter this card into the following challenges:

Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop, Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Whimsy Stamps ...
December 2014 Release

I am thrilled to join Whimsy Stamps as a guest designer this week to help showcase their December release! Over the next 3 days, myself and the team will reveal 10 *BRAND NEW* red rubber stamps/stamp sets and 4 *BRAND NEW* coordinating die/die sets. They will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers on Wednesday.

Whimsy is thrilled to welcome Lizzy Smith, Linda Levoir, Pauline Yates and Crissy Armstrong as Guest Designers for this release. Today we are excited to show you the brand new Crissy Armstrong, Time for Tea Designs and Raindrop Echo Designs stamps and dies being released this month. For a full reveal of these stamps, hop on over to the Whimsy blog!

For today's project I have made a card featuring the new Winter Hat Border Die from Raindrop Echo Designs.  This is the first time I have made a card without a colored image in a long time and I had a lot of fun with it.  This die is so cute it deserved to be the focal point of the card.

I cut the die with several different coordinating card stock prints and paper pieced the hats.  Then I added some bling from my stash for the the balls on the ends.  The lights on the tree are glittered but it isn't showing well in the photo.

PRIZE ALERT ... We have hidden a fabulous prize of a $15 GIFT CERTIFICATE at one of the stops on today’s hop! We will draw the lucky winner from the comments left on today’s design team posts (listed below), so be sure to visit everyone and leave a comment at every stop to be entered into the draw.
Be sure to visit the Whimsy blog again tomorrow for the second day of sneak peeks. Thanks so much for visiting today. Happy hopping!

Under the Mistletoe, Time 4 Tea

We have a new Colouring Crazy challenge going on today on the Graph'it blog!  Have you been thinking of trying out some new markers?  Why not try winning them?  Just sayin...

So our theme this week is Two Colors but the team was given a more specific instruction, we were to use blue and green.  So for the time of year I went with a christmas card using Under the Mistletoe, a Time 4 Tea stamp.  Even better, this stamp is on sale at Whimsy Stamps and you can find it HERE.

My papers and flowers are all from Whimsy Stamps.  The sleigh is a die cut called Santa's Sleigh, also from Whimsy and also on clearance woohoo!, you can find it HERE. And the charm also from Whimsy, you can find it HERE.  I have finally gotten my hands on frantage and can't help but to go a little nuts with it- and the Shaved Ice.  I love that stuff!  I used Martha Stewart glitter glue on the berries in Candy Apple.

The snowflake here on the inside is a large punch and the sentiment was a free gift with an order from Whimsy Stamps.  I embossed it with copper powder.

Here is a closer look at the stamp and my coloring...

Under the Mistletoe by Time 4 Tea

I tried a new color combo for her hair here and I love the contrast I got with these shades.  This is my absolute favorite green combo ever, however, Graph'it just came out with some new colors and one of them is a new light green so I am going to need to play some more!
Graph'it color combos used:
Skin: 4125, 4115, 4170, 3120/ 4145, 4135
Hair: 1210, 2105, 2120, 3130, 3150

Monochrome card, Sarah

Here is something Very different for me in several ways. For one thing it is my first attempt at monochrome but it is also my first try at those fancy cards with all of the gorgeous embellishments.  I think I probably took it a bit overboard but I'm learning.  The theme on the Graph'it Colouring Crazy Challenge blog that started last week is monochrome and I thought this was going to be very difficult for me.  I actually really enjoyed it and will definitely work with it again.

I used one of the new stamps from Whimsy Stamps called Sarah by Sylvia Zet.  This stamp was a new release for November and you can find it HERE.

The large snowflake and large flowers are die cuts from Sizzix.  I cut them out of chipboard and then painted them with TH crackle paint in Picket Fence.  I then painted over the snowflake again with Tattered Angels glitter paints but its not showing well in the photos.  The edges are inked in Walnut Stain distress ink.  The photos really don't do this card justice, it looks washed out.  I don't know why I couldn't get the lighting to work out.

All of the other elements are die cuts from Sizzix as well- the present is a Cuddlebug die.  The rolled flowers are cut out of corrugated card stock to give them more dimension.  The snowman is a Sizzix die but it is a Basic Grey die.  The flat back pearls,  ribbon, and tree are from my stash.  I finally got my hands on some frantage! woohoo!  I am in love!

My dp are an old collection from MME.  The sentiment and present are Heidi Swapp clear stamps.  Here is a closer look at the stamp, Sarah, before I added all the goodies.

Sarah by Sylvia Zet from Whimsy Stamps
I colored the image with my Graph'it Markers and will list my color combos below.  I did a little bit of fussy cutting and paper piecing.  Its not obvious but adds just a little bit of dimension.  I did add some pop dots at the end of her scarf to give it some extra lift.  This is stamped in Memento's Rich Cocoa.  I only used 5 different pens for the whole image- besides the skin tones, just in different variations.
Graph'it color combos used:
4110, 3210, 3245, 3250, 3290
skin: 4125, 4115, 4170, 3120/ 4145, 4135
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  I hope you have enjoyed my overloaded monochrome card.  Leave me some blogger love below, I love to hear from you all.

Happy Birthday Betty!!!!

Today is Betty Roberts 40th Birthday!!! YES the BIG 40, so we thought we would make it as special as we possibly can!  The Awesome Rachel Sharp http://sharkie19.deviantart.com/?rnrd=118353
drew us up an image to use for Betty's Birthday!!

A whole bunch of AMAZING, SUPER TALENTED ladies have done some UNBELIEVABLE projects for you to see, they have all been mailed out to Betty so she should get some AMAZING mail...
but we thought you would all like to see these FANTASTIC projects so we have put together a "little" hop with all our birthday projects.

This image was a blast to color up and to be a part of such a fun and wonderful surprise made it even better.  I loved that this was kept a secret from Betty all these months!

I made a sliding popup card for Betty.  It is so much cuter in person but since this is the first card I am actually sending to someone in a long long time I guess that is alright.

My background paper is Charcoal Glitter Paper from American Crafts and the skull is a Cuddlebug die.  The blue band is embossed with a Cuddlebug embossing folder that matched a Cricut cartridge I own- you can't see it very well. The ribbon and brad are from my stash.  The flower is a punch and I used glittered corrugated card stock for it.  My solids are from Stampin Up.

She is colored with my Graph'it markers.  I'm not listing my color combos but if anyone is interested I would be happy to add them- I just didn't want to make the post any longer.
I wish the embossing would show in the pictures.  The skulls have Glossy Accents on them and that isn't showing well either. poo!

Here are links to all the other fun cards made for Betty.  Be sure to hop around and check them out.  There are some really talented girls out there!

Corinne also has wonderful cards by Leanne, Cynthia Cole, April, Cat, Dena
 Emily
 Sam
Lizzy ( Yours Truly )

Thank you for hopping by my blog today! And Betty, I hope you have a truly wonderful day honey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!
xoxo Lizzy

Tula's Hearts Framed, Dilly Beans

I have a really fun card to share with all you crafty peeps today!  I have been working with a lot of holiday images lately and it felt really great to do something different.
This is my diamond fold card I made for my team project for Creative Fingers Challenge Blog.   The new challenge begins today and the team was given the theme of Banners for this one, it is of course Anything Goes for you guys.  Our Sponsor is Dilly Beans and I am working with an image called Tula's Hearts Framed, you can find it HERE.

My papers are from Heidi Swapp, the banners are fussy cut from the paper collection.  I think it is Sugar Chic.  I have had it for a while and I kind of horde it.  I only use it when it fits just perfect for the project because it was intended originally for a mini book for my daughter. haha Well, I don't think there is enough left for that now.

The charm and the ribbon are from American Crafts.  The sentiment is a digi from Create with TLC.  I colored it with my Graph'it markers and added Glossy Accents to the round part.

585- Tula's Heart's Framed by Dilly Beans
I colored the image using my Graph'it markers and I will list my color combos below.  I added Stickles to the hearts and a bit in her eyes and then Glossy Accents over the top of that after it dried.  That kind of thing never photos well and I think I lost a bit of my dimension in my coloring after it.  Maybe I should have left the shading more dramatic if I was going to glitter it? hmmm.
Graph'it color combos used:
skin: 4125, 4115, 4170, 3120/ 4145, 4135
hair: 5110, 5120, 5130, 5140
blue: 7220, 7240, 7250, 7260
yellow: 1140, 1150, 1230, 1280
pink shading: blender, 5110, 5120

Thank you for popping by my blog today!  Leave me a comment below,  I love hearing from you.

Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop day 3

Welcome to the ...
Whimsy Stamps November release BLOG HOP!

The Whimsy Stamps DT and GDT have been sharing some amazing creations made with the new stamps and dies over the last couple of days, and today we are celebrating their release with a GRAND BLOG HOP!
The hop starts today (Wednesday November 5th at 12.00PM noon ET) and ends on Friday November 7th at 12.00pm noon ET. If you would like to hop along with us today, please CLICK HERE to start the hop at Louise's blog.

For today's project, I inked up this cute little stamp from Elisabeth Bell called Christmas Cookies.  I have also used a frame and sentiment from the Resolutions Sentiments set.

I thought this stamp is just perfect for a treat gift bag.  The card behind her on the front has the recipe for the treat and I used the tag on the back for my sentiment and left room for a written message on the other side.  I colored the stamp with my Graph'it markers and wet embossed the frame before stamping the sentiment in the center.  I am going to whip up a few more of these for teachers gifts this season.  I think it is so cute!

One lucky hopper will win a $25 gift certificate! To enter the draw, simply leave a comment at EVERY stop along the hop by 12.00pm noon on Friday November 7th.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Happy hopping!
