Inky Impressions New Release

I have some very exciting news!  First, I am now a member of the Inky Impressions Inspiration Team. Woohoo!  This is going to be fun!  Second, it is new release time for Inky Impressions and their are school theme stamps.  So here I have created a project with one of the new releases, Back to School Nicholas- well two releases including the sentiment, which is oh so cute!- I hope you find it very inspirational!

Back to School Nicholas by Inky Impressions
I used the Single Line School Days Sentiment.  He is colored with my Copics because I finished him before I got my new Graph' Its.  I used Spica glitter pens on the yo-yo but of course it doesn't pick up well in the picture. Oh, actually I did have some of my skin tones at this time so part of him is done with my GI markers.   I used papers from My Minds Eye- I know, shocker!  I love MME so that is what my stash is stuffed with.
Ok, usually I don't get very personal on my blog and feel free to skip this part if you would like but I thought I would just mention why this image was so special for me.  My son, who is now a senior in high school, used to be huge into Yo-yos when he was in grade school.  I mean it was serious business in my house. We are talking competitions and you-tubes, all of it.  And those darned things are expensive!!  I think his cheapest one was $65!  He would fling those things around non stop and he was really good too.  After I made this card I took it to him to show him.  He got out his yo-yos and gave them a whirl and by golly, he's still got it! LOL  Anyway, this is why this image brought a little tear to my eye, and now again while I type this.  They grow up so fast!
So, every Tuesday I will be posting a project for your inspirational viewing pleasure.  Be sure to pop by the Inspiration Blog to see what the other girls stuff are up to!  I think there may be another new release coming up this month too, sssshhh, you didn't hear it from me. :)
