Things With Wings, Lacy Sunshine

The challenge this week at Come and Get It is one of my personal favorites, the theme is Things With Wings.  I find myself coloring alot of fairies for some reason.  I think their fun because it leaves a lot of room for the colorist's creativity.  I am so in love with Lacy Sunshine images and lucky for me they are a sponsor this week.  This card was done using Honey Sticky Wings.

Honey Sticky Wings from Lacy Sunshine

The honey on her head and the wings are glittered but the camera isn't picking it up. :(
The papers are a collection of things from my stash as well as the sentiment.  She is colored up with my Graph' It markers and I will list the combos below.  I made the pinwheel, this is how I did it:  I cut a 2" square of double sided DP.  Cut each corner 3/4 of the way to the center.  Then do a soft fold with each corner, making sure to fold in the same direction each time, meeting in the center.  Thats it!  Oh, I put a brad in the center but thats optional of course.
Graph' It Markers used:
skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180 / 4135, 4175
hair: 7210, 7220, 7250, 7270, 7290
leaves: 8110, 8150
yellows: 1140, 1150, 1210, 1250, 3245, 3250
pink: 5110, 5130, 5140
outline: 9100, 9101
Heres a tip from me, take it for what its worth, if your coloring gets too dark when coloring hair and you begin to lose your highlights just break out that black Prismacolor pencil and slightly add it to the very beginning of each shadow or root.  I had to do that here.
