Angelica's Snowman, Inky Impressions

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I am here to bring you some Inky Impressions inspiration today. For this card I used a stamp called Angelica's Snowman and the If a Snowflake Fell sentiment from the Inky Impressions store.

I did something a little different with the snow and snowman this time.  I tried using the stippling technique because I wanted her to look magical and have a bit of texture to her.  I used my cool greys and my opaque white and silver glitter Shake pens.  I'm not sure how happy I am with the outcome though.  I will do this image again with the regular blending methods to share with you all and then we can decide which is better.
My papers are MME, a collection from last year that I love love love!  It is called Be Merry.  I used my Martha Stewart snowflake punches and some pearls and such from my stash. Here is a different view of the card...

Don't you just love adding in those nontraditional christmas colors?! And here is a closer look at the stamps...

Angelica's Snowman
I colored the stamp using my Graph'it Markers.  I added a bit of stippling around the sentiment as well.  Here are the color combinations I used:
Skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135
Hair: 1210, 1230, 1270, 3250
Pink: 5110, 5120, 5130, 5140
Green: 8110, 8240, 8120, 8180, 8190
Red: 5220, 5240, 5270, 5280
Snow: 9100, 9101, 9102
Opaque white Shake pen and Silver glitter Shake pen

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you feel inspired to get Inky and remember to drop by the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog to see some more fun projects!! Have a great week girls!  Hugs, Lizzy

Just For Fun, Crafty Sentiments

Hello crafty friends!  I am bringing you some Crafty Semtiments inspiration today!  I made this card with a stamp called Just For Fun from the Lollipop Dreams Collection.  I must admit my card didn't turn out the way I had imagined but it's still cute.  Since I put the image on the inside layer I will show you that view first... sorry, this is a little photo heavy...

Just For Fun by Crafty Sentiments

When I saw this stamp it just screamed pink and girly to me.  I thought she would make a great birthday card for a little girl.

I made most of the flowers myself with a flower punch and circle punches. To make the card I just cut it at 6 1/4 x 5 1/2 to have the fold-over flap be 2" wide.  This way it is still the standard card size but with a little more interest.  Little girls don't want to read their birthday cards anyway, they just want  to see the pretties so I wanted to minimize that aspect of the card and focus more on the image and embellishments.

The brads and fabric flowers are from my stash as are most of the papers.  The mat behind her that says "friends" on it is a digital paper from Polkadoodle, Dolly Daydream, the Girl Talk Collection which you can find HERE.  The sentiment is from another Dolly Daydream CD but it is the Dolly Goes East collection and you can find that one HERE.  Here is a closer look at the Crafty Sentiments stamp...

Just For Fun

Isn't she just darling??  I colored her with my Graph'it Markers. Here is a list of the color combinations used:
Skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135, 5130
Hair: 1210, 1230, 1270
Pink: 5115, 5125, 5130
Purple: 6110, 6120, 6175
For the polkadots on her dress I used my white opaque Shake pen also from Graph'it.  For her hair I wanted the highlights just a little lighter than my lightest shade so I brushed over those areas with my blender marker lightly.  I don't know why I haven't used my blender that way before!

* There was a storm today so I didn't have good lighting for pics.  It's my first time using Pic Monkey, I hope they all look ok.  If you leave me some love below let me know what you think so I can work this out.  Thanks!

Be sure to pop by the Crafty Sentiments Inspirational Blog from time to time to check out the other girls fun stuff!  I hope you enjoyed my project.  Have a fabulous day!

Lizzie and Claude, Lacy Sunshine

The challenge begins today over at 613 Avenue Create and the theme is Anything Goes with optional Use a Heart.  How fun is that?! The sponsor I am working with today is Lacy Sunshine and this image is just super cute! It is titled Lizzie and Claude and you can find it HERE.

Lizzie and Claude by Lacy Sunshine
The papers I used are a Recollections pad but I think they are prints from original MME.  The hearts we these very ugly chipboards I had so I covered them with coordinating papers and now they are pretty.  The sentiment is cut from the same paper collection.  She is colored with my Graph'It Markers and I will list the color combos below.  So I colored her before anything else and I didn't think about how the color of her boots would look against the grass so when I do her again I will be sure to use different tones.
My color combos used:
skin/lips: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135, 5130
hair: 1230, 1270, 3125, 3250, 3290
reddish pink: 5130, 5255, 5260, 5270
tealish blue: 7210, 7240, 7250, 7270
black: 9509, 9506, 9505, 9504

Light Source and Pink, Graph'It Colouring Challenge

There is a Colouring Crazy Challenge underway at Graph'It's Challenge blog.  The theme for you all is Pink, the theme for the team however was a little more difficult.  At least I found it challenging.  We had a theme of Specific Light Source.   I got a little over zealous with my project.  I found this image from The Paper Shelter called Incantation and thought it would be great for having two sources of light.  Well it is great but it was a little more difficult than I had anticipated. haha  So I have the glowing bottle of dragons blood from the left and then her book of spells a little lower on the right.

Incantation by The Paper Shelter
I made a z-card mainly because the challenge at TPS is many folds and I definently wanted to be able to share this project over there.  My papers are mostly from Imaginesce, the spider web is a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment is cut from a border from a DP. I added Glossy Accents to her brew.  I love that stuff !  I add it anytime I get the chance, I just think it adds such a fun element but it doesn't show well in pictures.  Here are some more views of the card..

I will go back and add a panel for writing later..

Here is a closer look at the stamp and my coloring...
I used pastels to shade around her to enhance the glow effect and give the image more of a border.

Here is my list of Graph'it Marker color combinations used:

Purple: 6110, 6120, 6140, 6175

Amelia Witch, Polkadoodles

Good morning all you crafty girls!  I am popping in to share my card for the Polkadoodle Digiqueens using the new Amelia Witch.  I have used the one with the kitty of course but she is offered with a toad as well which is almost as cute.

Amelia Witch by Polkadoodles
I kept this card a little more simple because there is so much going on in the image but the funny thing is, it is my daughter's favorite so far!  I think this Amelia is my new favorite.  My papers and sentiment are also from Polkadoodle, the Witchie Witchie collection which you can find HERE.  I used a purple glitter pen to outline the lettering on the setiment and put Glossy Accents on her jar of eyeballs.  You know, without fail every time I use a liquid embellishment one of the cats jumps right up onto the card!!  Here is a closer look at Amelia...

I colored her with my Graph'it Markers.  How great is that hair?? It was so much fun to color!  Here is a list of my color combinations used:
Skin; 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135, 4175
Hair: 1210, 2105, 2110, 2150, 2180

Miracle, Ppinkydolls

Hello Crafty Friends!!  Today is the start of our third challenge at Ppinkydolls Challenge Blog.  The theme is Anything Goes or Make it Girly and I have used an adorable little image titled Miracle.  She is so cute and I love the polka dot dress, love polka dots!  This post will be a little picture heavy..

I made a trifold card for this project.  It was difficult to photograph but oh so cute.  I am so happy with the way this one turned out! It was a blast to make.  Again the photo has made the colors look choppy and not well blended. :(  Here is a closer look at Miracle..

Miracle by Ppinkydolls Art
I colored her with my Graph'it Markers.  Here are my color combos used:
skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135, 4175
hair: 5110, 5120, 4135, 5130, 5140
dress: 7210, 7220, 7250
sucker: 5280, 5250, 5230, 5120, 5110
I tried something a little different with her outline.  I used my lightest shade from her dress and mixed that with my lightest grey.  7210, 9500
I mixed her dress colors and some blues for her eyes so they would be a bit more aqua.

My papers are Heidi Swapp's Sugar Chic collection.  The elements are fussy cut or punched from the paper collection.  I also used a flower die and my circle punches and a little scrap of ribbon from my stash.  I put Glossy Accents on her candy.

Fae 6, Fitztown

A new challenge begins today at 613 Avenue Create and it is a fun one!  The theme is Anything Goes as always but the optional twist is Create Your Own Challenge with the chart below.  I used column one, although my stickles isn't showing up much in the picture, darn it!  We are sponsored this week by Inky Impressions and Fitztown.  I have used an image titled Fae 6 from Fitztown for my DT project this week.

Fae 6 by Fitztown
I used another version of the center step card for this one.  I am loving these cards and will probably be doing more of them.  I am also hoping to do a tutorial for them soon.  They are so much easier than they seem like they would be and really showcase all that effort we put into our colored stamps.  As many of you know my craft room is packed up while we are in the process of moving which means my supplies are limited but the step cards make this much less of a problem.
Here is a closer look at the image...

I colored her with my Graph'it Markers, here are my color combinations used:
Skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135
Hair: 1210, 1230, 1270, 3125
Blue: 7140, 7145, 7160, 7165
Green: 8120, 8280, 8290, 9207
Brown: 3245, 3250, 3290
Wings: 3210, 3245, 3250 and 9402, 9403, 9405
The Graph'it Markers have some fabulous grey collections.  Here she is outlined in my green/greys: 9203, 9201

Halloween Brat Witch, Bugaboo Stamps

A new challenge starts today at Come and Get It Challenges!  The theme is Use Three of Something and the sponsor I am working with today is Bugaboo Stamps.  I love love love Bugaboo and I have been waiting to use these specific digis too!  Their images are so fun.  They are so adorable and they don't take hours to color up.  Don't get me wrong, I like those type too but sometimes by the time I get done coloring I am out of time to make the card. For this card I used Halloween Brat Witch and paired her with Rickety Fence. To pair the images I used the fence as a JPG and the witch as a PNG.  I'm not sure if you have to do it this way but I have had trouble with one image showing through the other if I use both as a PNG.

Halloween Brat Witch and Rickety Fence by Bugaboo Stamps
This is my first center step card and I am hooked.  I will be posting another style of step card here later today so you can check back for that later if you would like to see it.  I think I will be doing a lot of these, I love how cute they are!  I am a bit of an over achiever so I used three different DP, three dimensions, and also three colors and sizes of bling.  The bottom panel  and the candy corn papers are from Imaginisce, their Monster Mash collection and the polka dot sheet is from Doodlebug's Haunted Manor collection- the other side has the cutest halloween owls!  Here is a closer look...

I colored her up with my Graph'it Markers and will list the combo's below.  The photo made the colors look a little choppy, they are actually well blended.  With these markers it is almost impossible not to.   They blend out sooo easily!
Color Combos used:
Hair: 1230, 1270, 3250, 3290
Skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135
Purples: 6110, 6120, 6140, 6175

Sweet Teddy, Zuri Artsy Craftsy

So, there is a new challenge happening at Creative Fingers Challenge Blog.  It Started on Friday but I have had the worst week ever and wasn't able to blog mine yet.  Among a million other things, my iPhone decided to completely kill over and you know I keep my whole life in that thing including my photos of my projects. ugh!  And who's idea was it to sell the house?! I don't ever want to do this again! Terrible! Ok enough whining. The theme is Anything Goes as always but the team worked with Gratitude and we are sponsored this week by the wonderful Zuri Artsy Craftsy.  The image I used is called Sweet Teddy.

Sweet Teddy by Zuri Artsy Craftsy
I colored her with my Graph'it Markers and I will list my color combos below.  The DP is very very old from my stash.  The sentiment is a block stamp out of my "stamp basket" so I am not sure where I got that one either.  I am on a roll...  The dies however are brand new and are from Spellbinders and the buttons are chipboard elements from MME.  The little hearts are done with a punch that I stole from my moms craft room years ago.
Color Combos Used:
skin: 4120 4125 4155 4180 4135
hair: 2105 3110 3170 3180

Lili Playing in the Leaves, Inky Impressions

Hello my crafty friends!  It is Tuesday again so I am here with some fall inspiration for you with another fun Inky Impressions stamp.  I used Lili Playing in the Leaves for this card.  She is so cute and I loved the playful feel to this image.  I think Lili might be my favorite Inky Impressions character.

Lili Playing in the Leaves
I used a leaf punch and a button with some embroidery thread from my stash.  I embossed the background mat with a Cuddlebug embossing folder and used some Spellbinder dies for the round elements.  She is so sweet and I saw her in pink instead of the traditional fall colors so I took a risk with the colors for her clothing but I think it worked out nicely.  Here is a closer look at Lili...

I colored her using my Graph'it Markers but I did her jeans with my Prismacolor Pencil, Denim Blue and OMS.
Marker Combos used:
hair: 1210, 1230, 1270, 3125
skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135, 4175
pink: 5110, 5120, 5130
purple: 6110, 6120, 6140

Meeting Friends, Crafty Sentiments

Hello crafters!   I get to share my first inspiration card for Crafty Sentiments with you today.  I am so excited to be a part of the team!  These stamps are so much fun to color and work with.  Today I chose to use a stamp called Meeting Friends.  She is from the Lollipop Dreams Collection.  You can find her HERE.

click here to visit the blog

Meeting Friends by Crafty Sentiments
I used different peices of Designer paper from my stash, mainly My Minds Eye but some others as well.  The ribbon I folded and stapled and then adhered with glue dots.  The "flower" is made with a tapered strip of DP that is accordian folded and then rolled into the round shape.  Glue dots in between the layers hold it together.  I colored this little cutie with my Graph'it Markers, here is a closer look...
Color Combos used:
skin: 4120, 4125, 4155, 4180, 4135
hair: 1270, 3250, 3290, 9909
red: 5215, 5240, 5270
teal: 7240, 7250, 7270, 7290
greys used: 9102, 9101, 9100

Fashionista Lili, Inky Impressions

It's Tuesday which means it is my Inky Impressions inspiration day! woohoo!  So here we go with my very first creation for your inspirational viewing pleasure.  I used Fashionista Lili and the sentiment is called Friendly Smile Sentiment also from Inky Impressions of course.  Make sure you visit the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog for my fun projects from the team.

Fashionista Lili by Inky Impressions
I love this sentiment and it goes so well with the image.  Inky has so many great sentiments, there is something for everything in that store.  I used some papers from my stash for this card.  I know the striped one is a Heidi Swapp paper but not sure on the rest.  She fit just perfectly on a tag I had lying about, also from my random stash.  I die cut some hearts and then added Glossy Accents to the small ones to make them pop.   I colored her up with my Graph'It Markers and I will list my color combos below.  Here is a closer look at the cute little Lili..

Color Combos used:

Owl by Ppinkydolls

It is time for challenge #2 at Ppinkydolls Challenge Blog.  The theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist Add a Flower.  I think most of us add that twist usually anyway, lol, so easy peasy girls.  I used a digi called Owl for my DT card this time.  She is so stinkin cute!  However, I have never colored up an image with such light lines and lost my way a little bit, but I think she still is darling,

Owl by Ppinkydolls Art
I colored her up with my Graph'it Markers.  I'm not at home and I don't have my color guide with me that I wrote down so I will come back and modify this post with the combos I used.
I know the most obvious choice for this challenge would have been the rolled flowers, and I love those, they are beautiful but I have seen some messages from women that just can't get the hang of them so I wanted to show an alternative cute idea that everyone can do.  These flowers are made with nothing more than different sized circle punches and a border stamp for the stems.  For the largest flower on the left, I took a hole punch to the edge of the center circle.  The smallest fowers are four circles put together, then another small punch for the center under the brad- I am not sure what that shape is called but you can use anything there.
So come on over to the blog and join our second challenge with your favorite flowers!
